Our commitment to society

Embodying our purpose

The public interest is a key factor in the DNA and social utility of Indosuez.

Etched into our purpose, our commitment to society is reflected in the core of our business by the mobilisation of our employees to remain the trusted partners of our clients by protecting their interests and strictly respecting all regulations.

Our societal commitment also invites us to respond to the challenges inherent in a sustainable and responsible economy through our actions and our offer, for example by deploying green financing with the Crédit Agricole group’s support.

Contributing to progress

Convinced that this is one of the main vectors of progress, Indosuez has made its societal commitment part of its corporate culture.

We aim to strengthen the societal commitment of our offer, thereby increasing value creation for our clients, but also for our employees, by contributing to their personal development.

With principles and rules in place that match the extent of environmental challenges, our numerous initiatives coordinated at the Indosuez group level aim to underpin social entrepreneurship as well as make our clients and employees aware of the main challenges.

As part of its commitment to society and the environment, Indosuez Wealth Management in Europe, from its head office in Luxembourg and all its branches in Belgium, Spain and Italy, supports the programmes of the Indosuez Foundation. The purpose of this Foundation is to provide financial support for the implementation of projects in line with Indosuez's commitment to education and social inclusion.

New call for projects: Indosuez Foundation

The Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation

From the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, we are an involved party in the Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation. This foundation under Luxembourg law aims to fight against poverty and financial exclusion in developing countries. Its main activity is financial and technical services for microfinance institutions and social business companies. With 50 million euros contributed by the Crédit Agricole group on its creation, the Foundation’s partner is Professor Muhammad Yunus, Nobel Peace prizewinner of 2006 and inventor of both concepts. The Grand Duchess of Luxembourg is also a member of the Board of Directors.

Supporting music

We are a loyal and historical partner of the Philharmonie Luxembourg, one of the most prestigious concert halls in Europe. A major location in Luxembourg with its building dressed in the columns designed by famous architect Christian de Portzamparc, and its oustanding accoustics, it welcomes the most widely reputed artists of our times.

By backing its programming, we regularly enable our clients and partners to live an unforgettable musical experience. Our Bank also supports the Luxembourg Foundation EME, Ecouter pour Mieux s’Entendre, which aims to offer access to music to people that are generally excluded from cultural life. This foundation collaborates closely with the Philharmonie Luxembourg.

In Belgium, we are a loyal partner to Young Belgian Strings a formation enabling talented young musicians to improve and produce their music on major international stages. By bringing together students from around the world, Young Belgian Strings proves that music is a universal language and that excellence has no age.
