The European Week for Waste Reduction at Indosuez

November 25, 2020

Indosuez employees in Monaco and Luxembourg are mobilising for the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) by organising clothing and toy collections from 21 to 29 November 2020. This initiative gives a second life to objects, thus reducing waste production while helping people in difficulty.

In Luxembourg, 2 NGOs will benefit from these responsible solidarity initiatives:

  • The Association "Stemm vun der Strooss" in English: "Voice of the streets", which helps people who are homeless and living on the street.
  • The National Committee for Social Defence, which works for the reintegration of people in difficulty and collects toys to redistribute them to children from disadvantaged families.

In Monaco, it is the "Semeurs d’espoir" and "Children & Future" NGOs who are concerned by this operation. The "Semeurs d’espoir" association will use the clothing collected for the homeless and the victims of  storm Alex in Breil-sur-Roya, while the toys will be redistributed for Christmas by the "Children & Future" association.

At the same time, an awareness-raising campaign on good waste management practices (recycling, sorting, energy saving, etc.) will be held for all employees in both entities.
